On Saturday evening I dragged the engine carriage, engine, and transaxle out from under the car, and into the driveway!!!

Ummm... now what do I do with it?

Actually, I'm going to borrow an engine hoist, disconnect it from the carriage, and store it until I can find a buyer. Hopefully I can find a buyer.

Today, Montana and I lowered the car back down from the ridiculous height I had to get it to in order to pull the engine out.

It's good to make progress again.

There's not much more to do before it's time to start putting it back together. I'd like to remove any rust on the frame and repaint it. After that's it's time to go shopping.

Fire worked! Yay!

Of course someone came by and saw what I was doing and suggested that I should have just cut the bolts with a reciprocating saw... and he was right. It never occurred to me :(

After much work, I've got the back end high enough to pull the engine out. Light was failing by that point, and I was super tired, so I called it a day.

It's good to be back on it.

It's been awhile since my last post. I've gotten bogged down with troublesome frozen bolts in my attemps to drop the engine carriage. First the strut bolts would not budge, and after finally removing them, now I can not get the front carriage bolts out.

Or should I say couldn't. I was trying to salvage the rubber bushings, but it appears that they are what are binding the bolts. Also a friend recommended that I should replace them anyway. So, they next step will be a torch! Weeeeee fire!
